UH-72 Helicopter Mechanic
Location: Southwest Texas Region

SkyBridge Aviation is seeking experienced UH-72 Helicopter Mechanics to support rotary-wing maintenance operations in the Southwest Texas region. This position plays a critical role in maintaining aircraft readiness and supporting daily mission requirements on the LUH-72 platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, structural repairs, and component replacement on Airbus rotary-wing aircraft. Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast-paced maintenance environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical systems including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and related components
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance documentation
- Perform aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal modifications as required
- Utilize precision measuring tools and aircraft-specific support equipment including torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, cable tensiometers, and test equipment
- Make accurate entries in aircraft maintenance logs and records
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level technicians
- Support aircraft delivery schedules and maintenance deadlines through effective workload prioritization
- Ensure compliance with all applicable maintenance and safety procedures
- Apply proper FOD prevention and tool control practices at all times
- Support field maintenance requirements and travel as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of rotary-wing maintenance experience on the LUH-72, EC-145, or BK-117 platform required
- Airbus rotary-wing aircraft experience required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain military base access
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong understanding of Army aviation maintenance regulations and procedures including AR 95-20, DA PAM 738-751, and AR 700-138
- Must have own tools and meet minimum tool list requirements
Preferred Experience
- Aircraft structural modification and sheet metal repair experience
- Military aviation maintenance background
- Experience supporting operational Army aviation environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, and work in varying maintenance environments for extended periods
- Ability to work on ladders, maintenance stands, and elevated platforms using fall protection equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate support equipment, power tools, forklifts, and ground support equipment
- Ability to read gauges, micrometers, and maintenance documentation
- Must possess normal color vision and depth perception
- Ability to communicate effectively in a maintenance environment

- Candidates must be able to travel in support of maintenance operations as required
- Must comply with all drug-free workplace requirements including pre-employment and random drug testing
