Aircraft Structures Mechanic- Heavy Modification Program

Location: Meridianville, Alabama

Position Overview:
SkyBridge Aviation is actively hiring experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics to support a high-priority military aircraft modification program in Meridianville, Alabama. This role focuses on structural modifications including pylon and panel subassemblies on a legacy aircraft platform. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to long-term defense work while gaining hands-on experience with complex aircraft modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural modifications including pylon and panel subassemblies
Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
Drill, rivet, and install aircraft structural components with close tolerance precision
Fabricate and modify sheet metal parts as required
Remove, repair, and replace structural components during modification processes
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA, military, and company standards
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of aircraft sheet metal or structures experience
Strong background in heavy structural modifications
Experience with drilling, riveting, fastening, and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Must have own tools and be able to bring a complete standard aircraft sheet metal tool kit
Must be a U.S. citizen
Valid U.S. driver’s license required
